ANC deputy president Kgalema Motlanthe lamented the "state of disorder" that had characterised the party's youth league's conference and criticised the outgoing leadership for not sorting out problems that preceded the conference.
Motlanthe was the main speaker yesterday at the league's conference at the University of the Free State in Bloemfontein.
He told the delegates that some among them had acted in a manner that was not in line with the ANC's culture.
"Comrades, I hope you will elect a leadership that will take the ANC to a higher level," he said.
