This pithy and attractively bound book consists of "Introduction" and "Conclusion," plus an additional eight chapters treating the the Novelas ejemplares which the author considers marriage tales. Three chapters--3, 4, and 6--are re-workings of publications found in Romance Languages Annual 7 (1996), 10 (1999), and 9 (1998), respectively (9).
