RACHEL WEISZ IS A scene-stealer. I knew who she was before ever seeing one of her movies, because even in trailers--like the one for the 1999 remake of The Mummy, in which Weisz, then a relatively unknown actress, starred with Brendan Fraser--she jumps off the screen. Indeed, before I knew her name, to me she was that girl--you know, the one in The Mummy. And I'm not the only one who thinks that Weisz's performances, no matter how small, pack a punch. Two years ago, she won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in The Constant Gardener, even though she clocked in only about twenty minutes on-screen.
