Aged care is once again in the news. A federal government report has highlighted increasing and ongoing concerns about quality of care in aged care facilities: predominantly medication errors and poor care with a small number of cases of physical and sexual abuse.

This is no surprise to the ANF. Accreditation statistics consistently show the major areas of non-compliance with accreditation standards are clinical care and medication management.
