Ms Sabina Knight, the only nurse on the new National Health and Hospitals Commission, will bring a passion for social justice, remote area nursing and Indigenous health to its work.
Ms Knight, a Senior Lecturer in Remote Health Practice at the Centre for Remote Health in Alice Springs and a founding member of the Council for Remote Area Nurses of Australia, says remote health offers many lessons for the wider system. "It's an environment that breeds innovation," she said.
