The ANF SA Branch has joined with union peak body SA unions in launching a campaign against the state Labor Government's plan to change WorkCover legislation.
Injured workers will have their payments cut after 13 weeks to 80% of their average weekly earnings and weekly payments discontinued altogether after two and half years following injury under the proposed changes to WorkCover legislation.
While the government says the cuts are necessary due to unfunded liabilities of more than $840 million, SA Unions argue that injured employees should not be penalised for the financial blow-out.
