Article: Rumorville: DISH to offer mobile TV.(SHOW TIME)

Every auction bid and every patent application deserves a rumor.

The newest one is based on the fact that the DISH Network and/or its sibling EchoStar won some of the airwaves in a government auction and may use the spectrum to create a mobile TV service.

DISH Network's winning bid was $711 million.

Reuters quoted Pacific Crest Securities analyst Steve Clement as saying the spectrum is best suited for broadcast, "The assumption you'd make is that they'd set up some sort of mobile TV service."
