This was a convincing win which allowed Manners to extend their run as county schools rugby champions to ten wins in a row.
But Manners were hesitant early on and Ashbourne were first to post a score.
A long touch kick down into the Manners 22 metre area, a lost lineout and quickly spun out ball put Ashbourne in for the converted try.
