A drop in house prices is expected to continue in Northamptonshire as many estate agents predict a challenging year ahead for the property market.
Offers for houses have fallen to about 95 per cent of the asking price in Northampton, despite overall increases in house prices of 2.2 per cent since January across the East Midlands.
Richard Greener, of Richard Greener estate agents in Bridge Street, said the decline was not a crisis but the impact of the credit crunch would probably continue for the rest of the year.
