FAMILIES fidnign oit difficult to manage their children's anti-social behaviour are being signed up to a new project which aims to help them change their ways.
The Family Intervention Project (FIP) is an intensive programme designed to tackle the root causes of anti-social behaviour within families.
But while outsiders may think parents and children on the FIP are having an easy ride, those who run it say it is by no means a walk in the park.
Greg Johnson, head of the anti-social behaviour unit at South Tyneside Council, said: "Some of these families are in serious risk of losing their homes if they do not comply with the project.
