Studies have suggested that hyperhomocystaemia may be a risk factor for the development of chronic heart failure (CHF). Although folic acid and/or vitamins B6 and B12 deficiencies are the most common causes of hyperhomocystaemia, there is a lack of reliable data about their role in CHF.
