A DOCTOR is allowed to practice again after he was struck off following a catalogue of increasingly erratic behaviour which began when he prescribed medical heroin to his lover.
Dr Peter Miles, aged 48, was sacked from the Stony Stratford Health Centre, where he had worked for 17 years, after giving his lover - now his second wife - increasing doses of diamorphine for a back problem without telling her GP.
He also got a second patient hooked on diamorphine injections without referring her to a pain specialist.
The GP was later found guilty of misconduct in October 2005 by the General Medical Council.
