Twins outfielder Michael Cuddyer's motto for 2008 -- 162 games, no excuses -- is being put to the test five games into the season.
Cuddyer left Friday's game in the third inning because of a dislocated and lacerated right index finger following a headfirst (handfirst?) dive into third base. He was taken to the Hennepin County Medical Center for X-rays and missed the rest of the Twins' 4-3 victory over Kansas City.
The Twins were awaiting late word of how the severe the injury was. A dislocated finger can be popped back into place and Cuddyer could try to play based on his threshold for pain. Another ...
