Varshavsky closes acquisition of Ukraine's Istil
KYIV. April 10 (Interfax) - The Cyprus-registered Berycan Limited, acting on behalf of Russian State Duma deputy and Estar steel group co- owner Vadim Varshavsky's Mirinvest and international metals trader Stemcor, has completed the acquisition of the Cyprus-registered Istil Group Holdings Limited, which owns several assets in Ukraine, including the Istil steel mini-mill.
Farooq Siddiqui, the mill's first vice president, told Interfax the deal closed in London on Wednesday. He said all the terms of the deal had been honored and that the mill now had new owners.
