IT'S a case of following in mother's dancing (and acting and singing) footsteps as Robyn Keegan plays the lead role in Clounagh Junior High School's production of the lavish musical 'The Boy Friend'.
Back in 1972, her mother (then Jacqueline Byrne) took on the lead role of Polly Browne. And 36 years later, daughter Robyn is emulating not only mum, but also Twiggy from the 1972 film and Julie Andrews (Broadway 1954-55).
"It brings it all back," said Jacqui, who recalls that Jim Leathem was her leading man, teacher Woolsey Gracey directed and she loved the songs like 'I Could Be Happy With You', 'Perfect Young :Lady' and the title hit 'The Boy Friend'.
