RESIDENTS of a small but busy city yesterday stepped up their campaign for a by-pass.
Over 4,200 people have signed a petition calling for a relief road around St Asaph to prevent heavy wagons having to travel along the narrow High Street and over the historic river bridge.
The petition has been organised by St Asaph Town Council which also organised yesterday's protest.
Campaigners stood at the busy junction near the River Clwyd bridge bearing placards stating "Save Our City".
