A brief self-report measure of attention for college students, the Robert Morris Attention Scale (RMAS), was administered to two samples (n = 150 and n = 140) of undergraduate students. The scale had adequate internal consistency and measured a single factor in both samples. Correlations with hypothetically related variables provided some support for the validity of the instrument. Further research on the reliability and validity of the scale is suggested.
