Most parents are willing to change the sheets of a toilet-training toddler who accidentally wets the bed at night. But when the offender is well past the age of a typical bedwetter, mothers and fathers may not be so tolerant.
Five to seven million children over the age of six suffer with Primary Nocturnal Enuresis (PNE), more commonly known as bed-wetting. Older children who wet their beds often struggle with frustration, embarrassment, and poor self esteem. PNE may impact the parent/ child relationship, friendships with peers, school performance, and family activities.
