ABSTRACT: Transmission line construction project is one of the most complex engineering projects. Routing a transmission line is much more complicated than routing any other public infrastructure. The present system used by utilities is time consuming and does not produce satisfactory results. Generally a transmission line construction takes couple of years, but due to complexities in the approval procedure and opposition from various groups it take years to build lines and in some cases projects are stopped due lack of funds.
