British Airways has announced that the moving of most of its long-haul flights to the new GBP4.3bn Terminal 5 at Heathrow Airport, London, UK, has been delayed until June 2008.

BA boss Willie Walsh said it was sensible to ensure Terminal 5 is operating at a consistently high standard before the flights, which include 60 arrivals and 60 departures per day, are moved.

Most of the airline's long-haul flights were due to move from Terminal 4 to the new terminal on 30 April. The delay will affect other airlines, including the Star Team Alliance which incorporates Air France-KLM, Delta ...
