A. The water over the ocean evaporates, and moisture is released into the atmosphere. When the moisture rises, it can meet cooler air and condense into clouds. Sometimes there are things dissolved in the ocean water, such as sodium chloride, or salt. When the water evaporates, it leaves behind the salt. It's just as if you filled a glass of salt water and left it uncovered in the kitchen in your house. The water will disappear _ evaporating into the air _ and a residue of salt will remain in the glass.
