BEIJING, April 14 Asia Pulse - A new taxation policy aiming at encouraging nuclear power development recently issued by the Ministry of Finance and the State Taxation Administration allows nuclear power enterprises to enjoy VAT rebates for the first 15 years after commercial operation and makes VAT rebates exempt from enterprise income tax.
Industry observers are expecting a new wave in China's nuclear powergen and equipment manufacturing sectors with the planned nuclear power plants in Shaanxi, Gansu, Xinjiang, Shandong and Fujian as a result of a reduction in the actual operation cost of nuclear power companies.
