APPARENTLY NOT ONLY DOES SIZE MATTER, SOFTNESS AND ABSORBENCY DO TOO.
At least they do when it comes to selling paper towels and bath tissue. For products with such a high rate of household penetration it can be difficult to generate sales growth. However, the increasing popularity of larger roll sizes and bigger multi-packs combined with softer, more absorbent products have led to a small dollar sales increase in these two important segments of the paper category, despite a decrease in actual units sold.
