A LOCAL migrant worker from Poland has become the newest member of Hawick Community Council.
Twenty-four-year-old Lukasz Wojcik was officially co-opted on to the community council at its meeting on Tuesday night, where his nomination was given unanimous approval.
Although the Rosevale Street resident will not have voting rights, since he is not on the electoral role, he will still be a full member of the community council and was delighted to have been approved.
