A FEW years ago, any suggestion to exercise during pregnancy would have been swiftly dismissed. However, more and more women are claiming that safe prenatal exercise considerably reduces some of the typical discomforts of pregnancy, such as backache, constipation, fatigue, bloating and swelling.
Fitness expert Tamlyn Wheeler, at Club Zero in Morningside, says apart from giving expectant mothers added strength and stamina for delivery, exercise endorphins help them feel better about their self-image.
