RICHLAND COUNTY, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 1, 1995--In a preliminary hearing yesterday, the Mansfield, Ohio office of Jackson Hewitt Tax Service (NASDAQ/NMS: JTAX) defeated an attempt by H&R Block to secure a preliminary injunction against Jackson Hewitt business partners Ms. Linda Steward and Ms. Rose Ann Ziegler.
In court proceedings, H&R Block attempted to show the former employees were breaching employment contracts by preparing tax returns for Block customers while affiliated with Jackson Hewitt. However, the Honorable James DeWeese overruled Block's motion.
