CLINTON - Clinton Police Sgt. William Kamataris has studied martial arts for more than 30 years. This spring he plans to open his own mixed martial arts club in town.
"The Paladin Martial Arts and Fitness Center is being created to share the benefits of martial arts with our community," Kamataris said. "Martial arts training builds self-confidence, self-control, self-discipline, focus, concentration, respect for others and teambuilding skills."
Paladin, which means "honorable knight," will be located at 472 Main St., a former industrial space that served the enterprise of the town's own Horatio and Erastus Bigelow during the 19th Century.
