AUDIENCES AROUND THE WORLD HAVE ENJOYED unprecedented exposure to Latin American theater in recent years. International theater collaborations such as BAiT (Buenos Aires in Translation) and professional stagings of individual plays in places such as Prague, Calgary, Madrid, Paris, and Storrs, Connecticut (the site of a 2005 international theater festival and conference that hosted nine theater troupes from Latin America), indicate a growing knowledge and appreciation of the genre worldwide.
