IRISH clinched their first ever Pennine League title on Saturday, their victory over Albion coupled with Sharlston Rovers' 32-22 defeat at home to Drighlington giving them an unassailable lead at the top.
The club has gone from the bottom to the top in just 13 years and for president John Maguire snr it was an emotional day.
The 80-year-old club founder, who has won countless awards for his hard work, said it was "an unbelievable achievement".
He added: "I am so proud of everyone involved at the club and the players have worked really hard to achieve this.
