LAKELAND, Fla., Dec. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- For the fourth month in a row, Americans are drinking orange juice in all-time record volume. The unprecedented demand is occurring in the face of decreased inventories of orange juice.

Consumption of orange juice reached 57 million gallons for the four- week period ending November 4, 1995, which was up 1.2 percent from last year's all-time record, according to A.C. Nielsen SCANTRACK. The trend was led by primarily all-Florida not-from-concentrate (premium) orange juice, which saw a 14 percent increase vs. a year ago. Orange juice sales, which currently exceed $2.5 billion, also are record-breaking.
