PARIS - Boosted by the integration of Quest International Inc., fragrance and flavors supplier Givaudan generated first-quarter 2008 sales that were up 18.3 percent year-on-year to 1.05 billion Swiss francs, or $986 million at average exchange.
In local currencies, revenues increased 27.7 percent. On a pro forma basis, assuming Quest's business had been consolidated since Jan. 1, 2007, and excluding the impact of portfolio streamlining, Givaudan's sales grew 0.7 percent in Swiss francs and 1.9 percent in local currencies.
