PHILADELPHIA - History seems to be repeating itself at newspaper publisher Journal Register Co., which - like its predecessor, Ingersoll Publications Co. - is struggling under debt from numerous acquisitions.
Shares of Journal Register - which owns more than 300 publications in Michigan and along the East Coast, including the flagship New Haven Register in Connecticut among 22 daily newspapers - will be suspended from trading on the New York Stock Exchange today and eventually delisted.
The company publishes The Record and Registro in Troy and The Saratogian and Community News in Saratoga Springs.
