Resurgence In The Shi'ite World - Part 28 - Iraq & The Iran/Sadr Factors.

The Shi'ite theocracy of Iran is backing all Shi'ite Islamist groups in Iraq in a manner which, according to its critics in Baghdad, mean sowing the seeds of bitter intra-faith wars that could reverse a resurgence of Ja'fari power in a predominantly Sunni Muslim world. One of the triggering factors is Muqtada al-Sadr, a young Ja'fari Shi'ite cleric whose ranking is below that of his religious adversaries, such as 'Abdul-'Aziz al-Hakim who heads the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC).
