Turkey's SIS to invest $141 mln in modernization of Uzbek textile mill
TASHKENT. April 17 (Interfax) - Turkey's SIS Sayilgan Iplik, a unit of SIS Holding, plans to invest $141 million in 2008-2017 in the modernization of Bukharatex, Uzbekistan's second largest textile mill, the deputy CEO of state light industry agency Uzbeklegprom, Shamsiddin Sultanov said Wednesday.
The Turkish company acquired Bukharatex's second spinning and weaving mill, dying line and infrastructure facilities at an auction for 16.2 billion sum (over $12 million), and the modernization is part of the investment obligations, Sultanov told reporters at an exhibition of textile ...
