OKLAHOMA CITY, Nov. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- Plans have been unveiled for a new hotel to be built as part of the Metropolitan Area Project (MAPS) plan in Oklahoma City. The hotel, to be developed by John Q. Hammons Hotels, will become a franchise property of Westin Hotels & Resorts.
The 350-room hotel will include a restaurant, swimming pool, fitness center and 10,000 sq. ft. of meeting and banquet space. Estimated cost of the 18-month construction project, which will commence in 1996, is $40 million. The Westin Hotel, Oklahoma City will be strategically located in downtown Oklahoma City, connected to the one million sq. ft. Myriad Convention Center.
