LINFIELD manager David Jeffrey doffed a metaphorical cap in thedirection of St Patricks Athletic in the wake of Tuesdays dazzling display inthe Setanta Cup. Pats were awesome, simply awesome, he said.
Reflecting on Linfields 2-0 loss, which split Group 2 wide open, a candidJeffrey shrugged and said: Thank goodness we got away with two [goals] tonight.It could have been worse.
Jeffrey is used to holding the high ground at Linfield, who are close toannexing another IFA League and Irish Cup double this season, but he wasgracious in defeat an example to any manager.
