I found the article by Louise Jack titled "Is the Carbon Trust guilty of too much hot air?" unsubstantiated. I am not sure where the background material was researched to support this view, but I would like to offer a true portrayal of the work the Carbon Trust carries out.
First let me address the initial point raised that, "Despite calling itself a private company virtually all of the Carbon Trust's funding is from the Government." This is true but to suggest that the Carbon Trust is not open about its funding is incorrect. Every piece of communication from the Carbon Trust carries a funding statement explaining this.
