WAYNE, N.J., Dec. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Today The Carter Center commemorates the near-eradication of guinea worm, a devastating disease that has afflicted millions of people in Africa and Asia. American Cyanamid Company, a subsidiary of American Home Products Corporation (NYSE: AHP), joins in the celebration, having played a key role in the eradication campaign by donating over $2 million worth of ABATE(R) larvicide to the effort.
