Findings from a national ADHD prevalence study have shown that about 2.4 million children (ages 8-15) in the United States are suffering from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), CBS News recently reported. Of those 2.4 million, less than half have been diagnosed. Although accurate percentages of just how prevalent the disorder is have varied in the past, the recent study has set the number at 8.7% of school-aged children.
