Patients newly diagnosed with coronary artery disease (CAD) had twice the prevalence of colorectal tumors and precancerous-lesions than people without CAD, a study reported in the September 26 issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association. In the Hong Kong study, 206 patients with newly diagnosed CAD and 208 patients without CAD underwent colonoscopy.
