KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia _ On the outskirts of this booming city, imprisoned in a camp by barbed wire and armed guards, the last boat people gird to resist their forced return home. This final battle of the Vietnam War could erupt any day, ending their 20-year saga in bloodshed.
``If the Malaysian government sends soldiers for us, we will have no choice,'' said a 33-year-old Vietnamese man who asked not to be identified, as he and others pressed against a double chain-link fence. ``When you are on the edge of the sea, you can plunge into the sea or stand and fight.
