BANBRIDGE teenager Philip McGrath is well on his way to becoming a professional footballer.
He is off next week to sign a two year apprenticeship deal with League One side Oldham Athletic after spending the last year with Glenavon's under 16 side.
Philip, who was with Banbridge Town for five years before moving to the Lurgan Blues, is "buzzing" about the move according to his dad Kieran.
"He goes over on Wednesday week and signs the following day; he can't wait to get over there and get playing," he said.
