BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 4, 1995--dick clark productions inc. (NASDAQ:DCPI) has licensed exclusive rights to rebroadcast the original "American Bandstand" series to VH1, a cable division of MTV Networks.
The episodes licensed span the decade from 1975 to 1985. None of the episodes have been seen since they were originally broadcast.
"VH1's American Bandstand Marathon," comprising 20-plus consecutive hours of "American Bandstand" episodes, will initiate the series on New Year's Day, Jan. 1, 1996.
VH1 will continue to run episodes on a regular basis beginning Jan. 2, 1996, with the title "VH1's Best of American Bandstand." Highlights ...
