The Orioles have an ace closer, while the Mariners currently have no closer.
While the Orioles watch a young outfielder develop toward stardom, the Mariners are playing a veteran outfielder who's batting .182.
And the player for whom Seattle made all the sacrifices has been a nonfactor thanks to a nagging injury.
It's safe to say that in the early going, this is not how the Mariners envisioned their big trade with Baltimore working out.
