Market conditions for both residential and commercial appraisers will remain about the same in 2008 as they were in 2007, based on a recent survey of Appraisal Institute members. The survey, conducted in January 2008 by the Appraisal Institute's Research Department, polled both residential and commercial appraiser members on their opinions on current market conditions for appraisers and their predictions for the remainder of the year.
The majority (59.1 percent) of commercial appraisers classified the current commercial appraisal market as "good" while 30.4 percent described current conditions as "fair." Only 6.5 percent rated conditions as "excellent." In terms of ...
