Summer school? Should schools be in session year-round?(Debate It!)

School's out for summer! Or maybe just for two weeks. Some schools have classes all year. The phrase year-round school might instantly bring groans. But students in year-round schools go to class the same number of days as students in traditional schools do. Instead of taking a long vacation in the summer, students at year-round schools have several shorter breaks throughout the year.

Back in the old days, students were given the summer off because they were needed to help out on their families' farms. Today, most people don't live on farms. Teachers say students forget a lot of information over the long summer break. Year-round schools help kids ...
