Aeroportos de Portugal SA (ANA) took delivery of five Oshkosh Striker aircraft rescue and fire-fighting (ARFF) vehicles in Portugal during a ceremony on January 24, 2008.
These are the first Striker units to be delivered to a European customer, and will be stationed at three Portuguese airports, including the main international gateway at Lisbon, which recently opened a second terminal dedicated to domestic flights.
Advanced equipment incorporated into the vehicle includes its TAK-4 independent suspension system for enhanced on and off-road performance and a High-Flow, Low-Attack (HFLA) bumper turret. Designed to serve as a primary turret, the HFLA gives ...
