PETROL stations in Deeside and Donside were reporting huge increases in trade following the much-publicised threat of strike action at Grangemouth oil refinery this week.
The fears of strike action lead to panic buying amongst some motorists across Deeside and Donside.
Earlier in the week, Peter Gray, owner of Campfield Filling Station, Torphins, said: "We have seen a massive increase in trade. We are selling about 75% more petrol than we usually do. It has been an unexpected surge and we have had a few new faces stopping by who have hopefully found out that it can be good to use your local petrol station after all."
