ONE of the world's leading architectural historians is to appear in Halifax tonight (Wednesday April 23) to give an illustrated talk on art deco building.
Clyde Binfield, emeritus professor at Sheffield University, will speak on Art Deco - Putting the Fun into Function in an event organised by Halifax Civic Trust.
Art deco architecture was prominent between the world wars and world-famous examples include New York skyscapers such as the Empire State Building and Chrysler Building.
