Up to 400 new jobs are to be created with the expansion of a Wearside company.
The Tanfield Group produces electric vehicles and powered access platforms - cherry pickers - at its base in Vigo Lane, Washington.
The firm only moved to Wearside a couple of years ago, but the Smith Electric Vehicle division of the business has already outgrown its new home.
Announcing record results today, chief executive Darren Kell revealed the firm had identified a new home in the North East, but refused to say exactly where.
